About Pudgies Pizzeria

Pudgie's Pizza started in Elmira, NY in 1964. Two brothers, Michael P. Cleary Sr. and Charles “Pudgie” Cleary, and their mother Mamie Cleary founded Pudgie’s. Their concept and vision were far ahead of the pizza industry. In 1978, we moved to our present location in Rochester, and it is with this family tradition that we carry on.

For the past 30 years, Pudgie’s has been in the same location and under the same family ownership. We hope to pass on this sense of pride and loyalty not only to our employees, but to our customers as well. With the high level of involvement of our immediate family and with our two locations in Rochester, we strive to serve and produce the finest pizza, in addition to a wide variety of menu items available for our customers. When people eat at Pudgie’s, our goal is to surpass their expectations of a "normal" pizzeria.
